If you are a foodie enthusiast, please join us for guided visits to local food producers where you can sample local delicacies.

We'll visit Hitra Gårdsmat for a guided tour of the farm. The farm is known for its organic tasty cheeses and happy cows. The cows at Hitra Gårdsmat lives a good life, they spend as much time as they please outside in the pastures. We'll learn about cheese making and we'll greet and pet the cows and their young ones. You'll have a chance to sample the award-winning cheeses and buy cheese in the farm shop.

Afterwards we'll head over to Dalpro Farm which is a deer and wild sheep farm. Here you can experience deer and wild sheep up close and personal and you'll have an opportunity to feed and photograph the animals. Perfect for families with kids. We'll get a guided tour of the farm. The animals roam freely in large areas in Hitra and Frøya, where they graze on heather, herbs, grass, juniper, leaves and seaweed all year round.

At the farm shop you can buy award-winning products from Dalpro Gårdsmat such as cured meats, parts from ​​deer and wild sheep, hamburgers, sausages, wild sheep and deer shank, wild sheep and deer hides. They are also selling food products from other local food producers.

We'll wrap our day and head over to Ansnes Brygger for an exquisite meal with only locally sourced seafood, meat and vegetables. Ansnes Brygger is known for its high-quality seafood meals. On our way back to Dolmsundet we'll make a stop at Hitra Laks seafood shop where you can buy local high quality smoked or cured salmon and trout.
